How To Dress Well - Love Remains

 In 2010 Love Remains was released and received 8.7 from Pitchfork. It's pretty hard to describe the style of this album, I've seen it labelled as contemporary R&B, Trip Hop, Lo-Fi, among others. Lo-Fi it is most definitely. There is intentional distortion and digital clipping all over the album which, for some, is hard to understand at first. However, when you look past the filthy production techniques you start to appreciate the incredible beauty and emotion that this album is packed with. It is surprisingly gentle and delicate despite the grit, creating a wonderful contrast. There are not many albums that can touch you like this one does.

This is definitely recommended.
